AKR Consensus Watch Blog
Array I’ve traveled a lot in my young life, but never to a place where my language isn’t the first language of everyone else (despite the funny Aussie accent, its still English… The funny thing is that 5 years ago, I wouldn’t have hesitated or felt the slightest inkling of apprehension at traveling alone in a very foreign country. Will I end up at 40 too scared to leave my house or talk to the delivery guy from the Thai place where I will order all of my meals?

This would add a community supported feel to the product, rather than all of us having problems and spending hours and hours tying to fix them, only to later find out that is has been a known issue. There should also be a page posted with frequently occurred problems, solutions for migrating from older version, etc.It is ridiculous that anyone should have to try and find a forum to post to, wait a few days, and then be directed to a third party tutorial just to get info on migrating from another version (gotfusion tutorial in my case, gotfusion is great by the way, and thanks guys for offering a free membership opportunity) - web site pros should have all this and more already set up.——Today I sent a refund request to netobjects.

Iraq - The brilliant efforts of the U.S. military in Fallujah have apparently achieved all of the stated objectives. Politics - Saw some commentary tonight that the Democratic Party is dead. The ideological descendents of this character are still running around today whining about Iraq and so forth. We killed or captured 2500 of our enemy in the last two weeks in Fallujah - and probably more. No , they won’t - and they should be ashamed for it. Economy - Dollar dropping at a moderate pace is good long term. Saw comments today by Regional muckety muck with Chinese central bank that were depressingly accurate and to the effect that the U.S. needs to quit blaming others for its problems and get competitive again in the global economy. I believe that the U.S. will maintain its economic vitality for the foreseeable future… great family, great friends, a great nation, the freedom to worship at a great church.

They had to grow fast to justify their interest again under the assumption that all businesses grow 20 percent forever. I get infuriated when I hear an analyst who has probably never run business in their life, somehow knowing how to run somebody elses business, especially if that business has been successful for over 40-50 years. The best performing companies are the ones that grow moderately in a single- digit rate as long as they are generating excess returns on their invested capital. Companies that try to grow at a super-fast rate and try to maintain that rate are always setting themselves for a big fall. Whenever I see companies that are growing very fast either by buying other companies or generating super growth in earnings, I get very nervous about their outlook, basically because it is just unsustainable.
